The Lucerne Festival Academy’s Contemporary-Conducting Program is aimed at young, aspiring professional conductors. The course enables participants to gain practical experience, meet with great role models and receiving them impetus for their own careers.
The Contemporary-Conducting Program is led by Baldur Brönnimann.
On 4 September 2024, Program participants Daniel Huertas and Josephine Korda took part in a one-on-one Masterclass with world-renowned conductor and composer Sir George Benjamin. Together with the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra (LFCO) they worked on Benjamin's own “Concerto for orchestra”.
