  • KKL Luzern, Concert Hall

    Access

    Entrances at ground level take you directly to the KKL Luzern lobby area. From there, elevators give access to all levels of the building. In the KKL Luzern Concert Hall, six wheelchair spaces with a good view of the stage are available at special rates. We cannot guarantee that the accompanying person will be allocated a seat in the same price category and directly next to the wheelchair space. Please note that we cannot provide wheelchairs on loan.
     

    Wheelchair-accessible WCs

    Wheelchair-accessible WCs for the Concert Hall and Lucerne Hall are located by the checkrooms on the basement level and can be reached by elevator. There is another wheelchair-accessible WC on the 2nd floor in Wing A on the train station side. The wheelchair-accessible toilet for the Auditorium is located on the 1st floor and is also accessible via an elevator.

    All restaurants and bars in the KKL Luzern are equipped with wheelchair-accessible toilets and a personal alarm.
     

    Parking Spaces

    Two parking spaces for wheelchair users are available in sector D of Train Station Parking Lot P1. There is another parking space in Train Station Parking Lot P2 near the exit. From there, people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users can take the elevator directly to the KKL Luzern.
     

    Information for Visually Impaired People

    People with guide dogs for the blind are requested to register their visit 48 hours before the event at the KKL Luzern by calling +41 (0)41 226 44 80 or by e-mail. They can then be met at the KKL lobby and accompanied to their seat by an event attendant. The guide dog will be handed over to the security service (KKL-Porte) during the event, looked after there, and returned to the owner in the lobby at the end of the event. Medical assistance dogs are an exception and may accompany you throughout the building but must also be registered.

    We also offer concert assistance for people with visual impairments for all Lucerne Festival events at the KKL. A member of our team, trained by the Fachstelle Sehbehinderung Zentralschweiz, will pick you up at Lucerne train station, accompany you to the KKL and to your seat. After the concert, you will be accompanied back to Lucerne train station. On request and taking into account the capacity of the event, the person accompanying you can also sit next to you in the concert hall and give you information about proceedings on stage.

    Access

    You can access the KKL Luzern lobby and Lucerne Hall directly via entrances on ground level. There are four wheelchair spaces with a good view of the stage in the Lucerne Hall of the KKL Luzern. The balcony of the Lucerne Hall is not accessible by wheelchair. We cannot guarantee that the accompanying person will be allocated a seat directly next to the wheelchair space.     Access

    Wheelchair users can access the Lukassaal and the elevator that leads to the level where the church can be entered via the garden next to the outside staircase. Please note that we are unable to provide wheelchairs on loan.
     

    Parking Spaces

    There are two parking spaces for wheelchair users in the immediate vicinity of the Lukaskirche, one on Sempacherstrasse and one in Morgartenstrasse.

    Access

    Ground-level access at the Allmend entrance on the basement floor (U1) takes you directly to the Salquin Concert Hall (also U1). If you use the Arsenal entrance on the ground floor (EG), you can reach the Salquin Concert Hall (U1) via a freely accessible freight elevator. The freight elevator is located on the right-hand side.

    One wheelchair space is available in the Salquin Concert Hall. We cannot guarantee that accompanying persons can be seated in the immediate vicinity. Please note that we are unable to provide wheelchairs on loan.
     

    Wheelchair-accessible WCs

    The Salquin Concert Hall is located on the 1st basement level (U1). Wheelchair-accessible WCs are located on the ground floor (EG) and on the 2nd basement level (U2). Both floors are accessible via a wide, freely accessible freight elevator.
     

    Parking Spaces

    There is a parking space for wheelchair  users on the Arsenal entrance side (ground floor).
     

    Information about Assistance Dogs

    Assistance dogs are allowed throughout the Hochschule Luzern – Musik building.

  • Luzerner Theater

    Access

    The entrance to the Luzerner Theater is wheelchair accessible. The auditorium of the Luzerner Theater is accessible, with assistance, for manual wheelchairs at two entrances in the stalls and has four seats for manual wheelchair users. The stalls can be reached by elevator from the box office lobby. Visitors with mobile walking aids are welcome to be accompanied into the auditorium. The Luzerner Theater’s visitor service will place the walking aid in front of the entrance door to the auditorium and help you to leave the auditorium safely during the interval and after the performance. Unfortunately, the main stage auditorium is not accessible for larger electric wheelchairs.

    Please note that we are unable to provide wheelchairs on loan.
     

    Wheelchair-accessible WCs

    The toilet is located on the ground floor and can be reached directly from the box office lobby. You can take the elevator from the parquet floor to the toilet on the ground floor.
     

    Parking Spaces

    There are several parking facilities around the Luzerner Theater. There are two parking spaces for wheelchair users on Bahnhofstrasse and one parking space each on Theaterstrasse and Seidenhofstrasse. The nearest parking garage with parking spaces for wheelchairs is at the main train station: in parking lots P1, P2, and P3 you will find XL parking spaces and parking spaces for wheelchair users. If you want to get in or out of the vehicle as close as possible to the Theater, we recommend Theaterstrasse.
