Elisabeth Oltramare

Elisabeth Oltramare-Schreiber (*1959) grew up in Zurich and studied English, art history, literary critics and journalism at the University of Zurich, graduating magna cum laude in 1985. She gained practical experience at the Musée du Louvre, Orsay and Pompidou, as well as at an exhibition with Harald Szeemann. 
As director, she was in charge of the Segantini Museum in St. Moritz and subsequently worked for several years as a research assistant at the Swiss Institute of Art History. Here she was the director's research assistant and headed the estimation department. At the same time, she was engaged as assistant to the artistic director for the "Young Artists in Concert" festival in Davos and was a member of the board of the "Musical Olympus St. Petersburg" association for 10 years. Together with a partner she built up the platform "Space for New Art" for young artists and directed it for 25 years.
Since 1990 Elisabeth Oltramare-Schreiber has been an honorary member of various foundations in the fields of art, music and design. She is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Carl Heinrich-Ernst Art Foundation, the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation and the "Friends of Lucerne Festival". In addition, she is a member of the board of the Association for the Promotion of the Swiss Institute for Art Research and the Friends of the Kunsthaus in Zurich, where she is also a member of the Purchasing Commission. At the St. Johann Monastery in Müstair she is a member of the executive board and president of the "Friends of the St. Johann Monastery".
Elisabeth Oltramare-Schreiber is married and mother of three adult children.
