Dr. Armin Hartmann

Government Councillor Dr. rer. oec. Armin Hartmann has been Minister for Education and Culture of the Canton of Lucerne since July 1, 2023. He presides over various bodies, including the University of Applied Sciences of Central Switzerland (Concordat Council), the Lucerne University of Teacher Education (PH Council) and the Central Switzerland Cultural Foundation.

He is also a member of the Conference of the Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK), the Central Switzerland Conference of the Cantonal Ministers of Education (BKZ), the Northwestern Switzerland Conference of the Cantonal Ministers of Education (NW EDK), the Swiss University Conference and the Lucerne University Council. Dr. Armin Hartmann is a member of the Board of Trustees of the St. Charles Hall Foundation and the Serge Rachmaninoff Foundation.

From 2007 - 2023, Dr. Armin Hartmann was a member of the Cantonal Parliament.
