Dr. Armin Hartmann

Government Councillor Dr. rer. oec. Armin Hartmann has been Minister of Education and Culture of the Canton of Lucerne since 1 July 2023. He presides various bodies, including the University of Lucerne (Lucerne University Council), the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Central Switzerland (Concordat Council), the Lucerne University of Teacher Education (PH Council) and the Central Switzerland Cultural Foundation.

He is also Vice President of the Conference of the Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK) and the Central Switzerland Conference of the Cantonal Ministers of Education (BKZ), member of the Northwestern Switzerland Conference of the Cantonal Ministers of Education (NW EDK) and the Swiss University Conference. Dr. Armin Hartmann is a member of the Board of Trustees of the St. Charles Hall Foundation and the Serge Rachmaninoff Foundation.

From 2007 - 2023, Dr. Armin Hartmann was a member of the Cantonal Parliament.
