Seong-Jin Cho to take over for András Schiff

Unfortunately, András Schiff has had to withdraw from his solo
performance in the symphony concert this Friday, 30 August 2024, at 7:30 pm due to health reasons. We wish him a quick recovery. We are very pleased to announce that the 30-year-old Korean pianist Seong-Jin Cho will perform Beethoven's Fourth Piano Concerto in his place. The program of the concert by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, conducted by Myung-Whun Chung, remains unchanged. Seong-Jin Cho will be performing at Lucerne Festival for the first
time.
