Michael & Friends: With Valentine Michaud

Valentine Michaud truly is an exceptional musician: She not only impresses with her stupendous virtuosity and enormous wealth of colors but is also curious and eager to experiment. No wonder the French saxophonist was awarded both the Prix Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes (2017) and the prestigious Credit Suisse Young Artist Award (2020) – only Sol Gabetta has previously achieved this remarkable double success.

We can't wait to welcome Valentine back to Lucerne Festival this summer. To share our excitement with our audience, festival director Michael Haefliger invited Valentine Michaud to his online talk series "Michael & Friends" where they chat about her many projects, her love for the saxophone, and of course the exciting concert she will perform on 7 September at Lucerne Festival.
