Blaise Ubaldini on "Rusty Song"

Blaise Ubaldini's "Rusty Song" takes us back to the time of the First World War. Trumpet, violin, viola, and double bass juxtapose the soundscapes of warfare with lullabies and childhood memories.

We met up with the Swiss-French composer to learn more about his fascinating piece, which will be performed at Lucerne Festival Forward by Patricia Kopatchinskaja and soloists of the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra.
