Wed 29.1.2025 | 5 p.m. | Lucerne Theater
You might have heard about it: on February 9, 2025, the citizens of Lucerne will vote on the planning credit that will enable the next steps toward a new theater in Lucerne (project name: "neues Luzerner Theater").
As previously announced, we are pleased to invite you to the following Friends-meet-Friends event. The Friends of Lucerne Theater will host us, to discuss the new theater project. There will be insightful presentations, an opportunity to explore the current theater building, and we will have the chance to peek into an opera rehearsal.
Program:
5:00 p.m.: Presentation in German with Ina Karr (Intendant Lucerne Theater) , Michael Haefliger (Intendant Lucerne Festival) and Adrian Derungs (Director IHZ), moderated by Jörg Baumann (Chairman Friends Lucerne Theater)
5:30 p.m.: Reception and backstage tours of the Lucerne Theater
7:00 p.m.: Dress rehearsal of “Trouble in Tahiti” in the Box, followed by a nightcap.
You can register for this event here. If you’d like to learn more about the "nLT" project in advance, feel free to do so here (in German).
Mon 10.3.2025 | 6 p.m. | Mandarin Oriental Palace Lucerne
Michael Haefliger and his team present highlights of the Summer program for the final year of his directorship. This year’s theme being “Open End,” a fabulous festival is ensured in lieu of a sad farewell. We warmly invite you to this summer preview featuring selected guests, musical performances, and an aperitif riche.
We will be happy to accept your registrations from February. Thank you for your patience.
Fri 11.4.2025 | 9.30 p.m. | Panorama foyer KKL Lucerne
After the evening concert, you will meet the musicians of our Lucerne Festival Orchestra, among others, and are invited to a get-together with wine and canapés.
We will be happy to accept your registration at a later date. Thank you for your patience.
Thur 4.9.2025 | KKL Lucerne and some location more
A graceful Mozart symphony, Tchaikovsky’s Fifth with its triumphant finale, and Bartók’s Viola Concerto, the poignant farewell of an ingeniously inspired composer. The Mahler Chamber Orchestra’s program leaves nothing to be desired. You will have the opportunity to experience not only this year’s “artiste étoile,” violist Tabea Zimmermann, but Maxim Emelyanychev as well, one of the most exciting young conductors.
We are also planning this event outside the KKL Luzern. Let us surprise you. Registration is only possible from July. Thank you for your patience.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your interest and loyalty and look forward to seeing you soon. Until then, we wish you all the very best!
