On 14 October 2018, before they depart for Asia, Music Director Riccardo Chailly conducted the Lucerne Festival Orchestra for the first time at La Scala in Milan.
Riccardo Chailly has been Artistic Director of the Teatro alla Scala since 2015, and he was an assistant to Claudio Abbado at the beginning of his career.
